En otras lenguas...GAELIC FOOTBALL

Do you love football? Then, you will love Gaelic football. This game is played in Ireland and it’s very popular there. Gaelic football is played by teams of 15 players on a rectangular grass pitch and they use a leather ball. They can catch the ball with the hand or kick it. The objective is to score goals (throwing the ball with the hand or kicking the ball with the foot) and the team with the highest score at the end of the match wins. This game descends from ancient Irish football and Gaelic football has become popular with women since the 1970s. The matches go on for 60 minutes. You can’t block a shot with the foot, pull an opponent’s T-shirt, strike an opponent... Gaelic football is one of four Gaelic games by the Gaelic Athletic Association, the largest sporting organisation in Ireland with more than 800.000 members. If you love football, this is your sport.
