EN OTRAS LENGUAS: PIERCINGS

PIERCINGS

Piercings aren´t a new trend. They have existed since ancient times.
The first example of puncturing of the human body dates back to the year 709 B.C.
It´s also believed that the eskimos were the first to use such body decorations, which they called “labrets”. Young people used them to become adults and prove they had qualities and were able to hunt with their elders.
Many were the tribes that had rituals as the piercing of many body parts. Also, the mayan, pierced their lips, nose and ears with jewellery or fish´s scales.
Nowadays, piercings are worn by young people; piercings are often performed done in the eyebrow, tongue, nose, lips (higher or lower), ears and many other places, including intimate parts of the body.
Nowadays, piercings are a very fashionable trend.
